4th of July update

well... went up to technofunktrial's cabin fer the two days. Took eio_nagas along with me after work.... well okay more like when he was done with whatever plans he had. I would've been there after work but I didn't feel like ditching him. Ah, I'm so thoughtful. Back to the subject on hand. Had two days off, but because he had to be at work on the 4th, that's when I came back down.
Anyhoo.. shit happened.
I'm only updating it now. Eh heh..
Uh... Couldn't remember which turn it was, so we momentarily got lost. However, we made it! Joy of joys!
Bought some fireworks after work while technofuntrial was still in town. Yay. We were looking for some deals.
Now, the area was too dry to shoot fireworks off in town.. or in Mandan.. or.. in the surrounding area. Okay so the entire southern part of the sate. So that's why I agreed to go to the cabin. Plus it meant fish. Yayz.
Okay, so we finally get up there, unload our shit (carpal tunnel just struck me while typing this out.. hello numb little hand) and got ourselves situated. Now.. I -think- this incident happened the first night. Lit a diamond comet.. or.. whatever it's called. It looks like a diamond-gem, and ya light it.. it spins flashy colors, and shoots up into the air. We weren't expecting it to shoot up as high as it did. Thing went clear over the cabin.. which was pretty tall by itself, and we shot it away from the house and landed by the shed which is also away from the house on the other side. Anyway.. Poor eio_nagas happened to be in the direct path of the firework.. and just like the rest of us, he looked up to see where the fark the thing was going and.. debris landed in his eye. Ugh...
So he was out for the entire time we were up there.
However.. the next day he felt somewhat better, and blew shit up. Somewhat. He stopped doing so when the firecracker went off on his pant leg.. okay I take that back. The thing went off near the crotch of his pants. So yeah.
That evening though, we lit everything off, and made pretties.
I'm gonna save up some uber cash for next year, and buy the Dakota Series junk, because all that other fancy shmancy junk just didn't get an 'awe factor' from yours truly.

So the 4th comes around.. I got up early to do some fishing. <3 <3 <3 The lake is beautimous. Didn't catch any fish, ah well. Which reminds me, my pole broke. Bought a new pole from.. wal*mart. Somewhere along the way I lost the endcap of a screw. That's easily fixable though.. or I can just take it back, either way I don't care.
Was gonna stay and eat fishies with everyone else, but I told Ferret I'd take him home so he can get his eye checked out.

Update of the eye? He's fine, still has it, yayz.

Uh.. back in town, I got to watch the fireworks held by the city. They banned fireworks, and shoot off the city ones, yeah that makes sense to me. Whatever. Got like.. the best view. There's an office building that now belongs to the State Health Department.. where meh dad works, and like.. we went up to the top floor c:
Sure it looked like those fireworks were a little low to the ground from time to time, but it was fun <3

then it was today and I went to work and blah, it was boring and I actually started dozing off. Oops.
Came home and went to sleep, and woke up like.. an hour ago. Man I lead an exciting life.
