Sparks are flyin' now
May. 14th, 2008 03:20 amWHOO HOO!
Okay, so I went down to the shop today, to play Rainbow Stairwell with the guys. Lemme see, where do I begin...?
Shop closes up, and we're all departing, and at the last second, we decide to head on down to Perkins. While discussing, I hear cops, but I never see them and it's suggested they went east to west based on how the sound travelled. So, got into the cars, get ready to head on down to Perkins, get on Washington to go south and all I see are... many flashing lights.
First thing that comes to mind is there was an accident... but then it occurs to me, that couldn't have been it, and upon closer inspection the flashing lights are heading toward us, going north.
What I saw, was just a FOUNTAIN of sparks. I didn't notice the car, because they were driving without headlights. The trail was at least six feet long, and the spray was well over the car. Ferret was in the car with me at the time, and we were just laughing it up. Flashing lights were coming from 9 to 11 cruisers. I wish I could've counted, though at the time I was too busy laughing at what I was just seeing.
Ferret looks behind, as we notice they're slowing to a halt to turn and the guy who's being chased, actually...
TURNED. ON. HIS. SIGNAL. LIGHT.
To turn left... and EVEN turned left.
That just left us in more laughter. So we decided to follow. After a bit of driving, we found them all gathered in a little cluster. Not being able to see anything, we let curiousity get the better of us, and we did a circle. Now what I had seen, was the car was parked, and abandoned. We were looking to see if we could see him on the ground, but it was then I myself noticed that there wasn't a single person standing around. So the chase went on foot.
That was the exciting part of the evening.
I'm sure there will be a story on this event later, whether it be on TV or in the paper.
